About the Project
The COASTAL Project is a Regional Strategic Project that is being delivered across six Local Authorities within South West Wales, including Bridgend County Borough Council. Funding for the project is provided jointly by the Local Authority and the European Social Fund. The COAST project has been providing services across the County Borough since April 2011.
The COASTAL project supports people aged 16+ who may have difficulty in finding work or accessing training courses because of:-
• Illness or disability
• Mental Health or Substance Misuse problems
• Leaving or has left Local Authority care (16-21 year olds)
The COAST Employment team works with participants to develop their aspirations and ambitions through a package of tailored support. COAST can offer help with:-
• Planning, advice and support
• Access to training
• Completing application forms
• Opportunities to develop work skills
• Work experience and access to a network of employers and job opportunities
